He wants to leave Denmark behind and go on a long trip abroad, although his recently divorced wife, Vera, does not approve of the idea. They decide to consult their friend Martin, famous theater critic, but when they find him murdered, Peter postpones travel plans to investigate the mysterious circumstances.
